Truth v Roman Catholicism

by Matthew Monfore, March 31, 2021

[Edit in 2023: I want to say that I appreciate my fellow Patriots who identify as Catholic: My hope is that they would be liberated not just by Constitutional freedom, but also by True Biblical Freedom and Salvation in Christ

The Roman Catholic church is a mix of paganism with Christian terminology. It is truly a “Christian” cult. We do not believe that any genuine Christian can continue in the Catholic church because their official doctrine is contrary to Christ’s gospel. “Wherefore come out from among them, and be separate, says the LORD, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you” (2 Corinthians 6:17).

Finally, the Immaculate Virgin, preserved free from all stain of original sin...was taken up body and soul into heavenly glory, and exalted by the Lord as Queen over all things...” (966)

Bishops and priests forgive sins.

“The Church, who through the bishop and his priests forgives sins in the name of Jesus Christ and determines the manner of satisfaction, also prays for the sinner and does penance with him.” (1448).

Mass is a continuing sacrifice of Jesus.

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5, bold mine). Mediator refers to the salvation only Jesus provides. Mediator means “go-between”. Christians don’t go through Mary, but through Jesus.

Mass is a continuing sacrifice of Jesus.

Jesus died once for sin. The bread and wine are not a sacrince.

Mass is a continuing sacrifice of Jesus.

“The sacrince of Christ and the sacrince of the Eucharist are one single sacrince:...since in this divine sacrince which is celebrated in the Mass, the same Christ who offered himself once in a bloody manner on the altar of the cross is contained and offered in an unbloody manner...this sacrince is truly propitatory.” (1367, underline mine)
