RUSSELL MEANS, FAMOUS NATIVE ACTIVIST, ADMITTED...

Russell Means, arguably the most famous Native American activist of the 20th century, admitted that the Native American religion was powerless to set him free from his anger problem. So he went to anger managment therapy in Arizona where his therapy was to visualize an object as his mother and hit it with a bat (Means, Russell and Marvin J. Wolf, Where White Men Fear to Tread: Los Angeles: General Publishing Group, Inc.: 1995, pgs. 524 and 530)

CROW DOG, MEDICINE MAN, ADMITTED...

Crow Dog, a medicine man associated with the American Indian Movement, admitted that he was an alcoholic, but excused himself as being the spiritual heyoka [a spiritual man who does the opposite of what is right/proper in native tradition] (Means, Russell and Marvin J. Wolf, Where White Men Fear to Tread: Los Angeles: General Publishing Group, Inc.: 1995, pg. 212) This is what people commonly refer to as “an excuse”. It is hypocrisy to claim to work for God and yet be a drunk.

BLACK ELK’S RACIST VISION

Black Elk, one of the most famous Native American religious leaders of the 20th century, is recorded as receiving a vision that when he turned 37, he would use a little tree to exterminate the “enemies” with a “soldier weed”. Reportedly, he forsook the vision later. (The Sixth Grandfather: Black Elk’s Teachings Given to John G. Neihardt, edited by Raymond DeMallie: University of Nebraska Press: Lincoln and London, 1984, pgs. 135-137)

WOUNDED KNEE AND FALSE CHRIST

What helped lead to the Wounded Knee Massacre as one of the most famous sites in all of North American, Native American history? The Ghost Dance religion, led by Wovoka, a Paiute Native American who people thought to be Jesus in the flesh. Natives believed they should do the ghost dance, that the white men would be exterminated and the dead native relatives would be reunited with the living; also, buffalo would be restored. (Mooney, James: The Ghost-Dance Religion and the Sioux Outbreak of 1890, Original, Governemnt Printing Once, Washington, D.C., 1896, Bison Book Edition, 1991 University of Nebraska Press: Lincoln and London, pgs. 777-801)

JESUS SETS PEOPLE FREE FROM SIN

“[A]nd you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free...[I]f the Son sets you free, you really will be free” (John 8:32, 36). God sets people free from pre-marriage sex, pornography, homosexuality, drunkenness, marijuana, drug addiction, etc.

BAD ACTIONS= BAD TEACHERS

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits...Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the qre” (Matthew 7:15,16, 19).

RACISM IS EVIL; TRUTH MATTERS

Racism is hatred toward someone because of color and background. The Bible teaches “whosoever hates [dislikes greatly] his brother is a murderer and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him” (1 John 3:15). Do you promote your “way of life” by hatred and violence?

NOT “WHITE”; BUT ALL COLORS

Christianity is for the whole world: “For God so loved the world [all kinds/colors of people], that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16; also see Revelation 5:9). JESUS is HEBREW (country of Israel in Middle East). Do you restrict your “way of life” to people of certain color/background? According to the Bible, all people are related, going back to common ancestors (Acts 17:26-28; Genesis 1:26-28). DEATH is common to white men and native men. Who can defeat death?

WARNING: FALSE CHRISTS

“See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My Name, saying ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will mislead many people...Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,” or ‘ here, ‘ do not believe . For false christs and false prophets will arise and will provide great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect...” (Matthew 24:4-5, 23-24)

LYING WONDERS AND DEMONIC POWER

There are two ways medicine may have “power”: tricks or demonic power. “Then that lawless one will be revealed... the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not accept the love of the truth so as to be saved” 2 Thessalonians 2:8-10). Maybe you have seen “power”, but if it wasn’t done in the power of Jesus, it was done in the power of a demon. All demons and their power are subject to the Lord Jesus Christ (Mt. 4:24; 8:28-34).

ONE TRUE GOD

And the Bible teaches that there is one God, the Creator, who is HOLY, JUST, GOOD, MERCIFUL, GRACIOUS, SLOW TO ANGER, KIND, AND LOVING (Isaiah 44:6; 45:12, 21; Pslams 99:9; Exodus 34:6, 7). “{B}esides me there is no god” (Is. 44:6). The sun, moon, stars, and earth are under His power.

TUNKASILA IS CORRUPT

Tunkasila is corrupt and unjust. He will not justly punish all the sins of the wicked because he is not inqnitely pure and holy like Jesus. Like a police man, judge, or chief who does not justly punish sin, Tunkasila is evil and wicked. What would you think of a judge that let a stone-hearted (not sorry) murderer go free? What about people (white people too) who seemingly “got away” with sin on this earth and never answered for their actions?

GOD WILL JUDGE

The Bible teaches that God is JUST and will judge all mankind, regardless of race: “I saw the dead, the great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds” (Revelation 20:12-14). “And just as it is destined for people to die once,

and after this judgment” Hebrews 9:27).
People who do not submit to the teachings of Jesus go to Hell.

NO SECOND CHANCES/ REINCARNATIONS

There are no second chances or reincarnations after this life. You must decide on earth whom you will serve. Second chances are a lie. The devil is a “liar, and the father of lies” (John 8:44).

TUNKASILA IS A FALSE GOD/ IDOL

Jesus (and I am not referring to the Americanized version of Jesus either) and Tunkasila are not the same- no comparison! God said that there shall be no other gods before Him (Exodus 20:3). And God said, “I am the LORD, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another, Nor My praise to idols [false gods]” (Isaiah 42:8). To compare Jesus with Tunkasila (a demon; 1 Cor. 10:20) is to compare gold with dirt because idols are worthless (Is. 2:20; Jonah 2:8). “For You are the Lord Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods” (Psalm 97:9); “Who has fashioned a god or cast an idol to no beneqt?” (Isaiah 44:10).

TUNKASILA IS A DEMON

“{T}hings which [pagan idolaters in this context] sacriqce, they sacriqce to demons and not to God; and I do not want you to become partners with demons” (1 Corinthians 10:20). Jesus judges righteously. Tunkasila doesn’t. Jesus sets people free fom sin. Tunkasila doesn’t. Jesus has power to raise the dead. What power has Tunkasila demonstrated? [crickets...]

JESUS ONLY; NOT WHITE BUFFALO-CALF WOMAN

Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me” (Jn. 14.6). JESUS SAYS HE IS THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN. The white buffalo-calf woman is not a savior; she is a demon/ demonic belief. If your way of life does not bring exclusive glory to Jesus alone, it is NOT from God. Native spirit teachings are of the spirit of the antichrist (1 Jn. 4:3; 2:18).

JDUGMENT AND HELL

“But for the cowardly, and unbelieving... murderers[hatred= “strong dislike” makes one a “murderer” in a sense, 1 Jn. 3:15], and sexually immoral persons [all sex before or outside marriage is sin], and sorcerers [we get the word “pharmaceuticals” from the Greek word used here], and idolaters, and all liars, their part be in the lake that burns with qre and brimstone, which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8). “[E]very careless word that people speak, they will give an account of it on day of judgment” (Matthew 12;36). Do you use God’s name to curse? Or use other curse words? What about “bad jokes”? You will answer for all of your words.

PORNOGRAPHY, DRUG- ABUSE, AND DRUNKENNESS

Also, you will answer for all your thoughts: “Whosoever looks on a woman to lust after he has committed adultery with her already in her heart” (Mt. 5:28). Lust may manifest as pleasuring yourself with “pornography of the mind”/ “a mind in the gutter”. Lusting after any of ALL PORNOGRAPHY (in print or video) IS SIN. Practicing DRUNKARDS, DRUGGISTS [those abusing drugs], and HOMOSEXUALS do not go to heaven (Galatians 5:19-21; 1 Corinthians 6:9).

MOTHER EARTH IDOLATRY

“His name alone is exalted; His majesty is above earth and heaven” (Ps. 148:13). Anybody who exalts the creation over, or to the same level as, the Creator is in GREAT DANGER: “Claiming to be wise, the became fools, and they exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible mankind, of birds, four-footed animals, and crawling creatures...[T]hey exchanged the truth of God for falsehood, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.” (Romans 1:22-25).

SUN AND MOON

Anyone who exalts the sun, moon, stars, earth, or animals; above, or on the same level as the Creator, is under God’s judgment. “Then he did away with the idolatrous priests whom the kings of Judah appointed to burn incense on the high places...as well as those who burned incense to Baal, to the sun, to the moon, to the constellations, and to all the heavenly lights” (2 Kings 23:5).

YOU CAN’T EARN FAVOR

No amount of good works can get anybody to heaven. They are qlthy rags: “For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like a qlthy garment...” (Is. 64:6). In order to be forgiven, you need a perfect, sinless substitute to take your punishment. Only one person qualiqes for that, and His name is JESUS (Jn. 1:1, 14; Hebrews 4:15). He alone has lived a perfect life.

JESUS ALONE PAYS FOR SINS

The gospel/ good news is this: Jesus lived a perfect life, was cruciqed on a cross, was buried, and rose from the dead the third day. He didn’t merely undergo human suffering; He was punished by God the Father for the sins of sinners. He took divine wrath on Himself in the place of sinners. “He was pierced for our offenses” (Is. 53.5) He said “It is qnished!” and shed blood (Jn. 19:30, 34). The best white, native, or any-colored human could not be your substitute. That excludes all priests, medicine men, and “holy” leaders from dying or suffering for the sins of people.

NOT “SWEAT” OR SUN-DANCE

God’s message excludes all offerings (money, Lesh, tobacco, good deeds), rituals and traditions (sun-dances and sweat lodges). Even though church gatherings, communion, and baptism are good; they don’t earn salvation; communion and baptism are for those already saved. No amount of sweating or sage-burning will help anyone’s position before God. Salvation comes from God alone as a gift. If you owed $10,000, then it would need to be fully paid before you could go free. Jesus is the only one that has paid for you to go free. What did Tunkasila do? JESUS IS GREATER than Tunkasila.

TURN FROM SINS AND TRUST

Jesus said, “[R]epent and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15). To repent is to turn from sinful thoughts, self- righteousness, idolatry, sinful actions and sinful words to God. Some people think repentance is only changing your mind that Jesus alone died for your sins, and that no change of life is necessary. This is an incorrect and damning view. When God saves people, He changes them. Justiqcation and regeneration (change) go together. You can’t change your thoughts and not change your behavior. You live out what you truly believe. Believing is committing your entire life to the Saviorship and Lordship of Jesus Christ. It is you trusting in the Gospel (the death of Jesus on the cross, His burial, and His resurrection), and you being put under His authority.

GOD MAKES YOU NEW NOW

When you repent and believe the gospel, you are what the Bible refers to as “born again”. “Unless someone is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God...that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit” (John 3:3, 6). If you’re a Christian, you’re new! “[I]f anyone is in Christ, a new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17). And, a Christian has God’s Spirit inside him: “God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba! Father!” “(Galatians 4:6). Your time is running out...”Do not harden your hearts...” (Pss. 95:8) “{B]ehold, now is “A FAVORABLE TIME,” behold, now is “A DAY OF SALVATION”...”(2 Corinthians 6:2). A true Christian can learn what God wants him to do by studying the Bible. Whoever loves family more than God is “not worthy” of Him (Matthew 10:37-39).
