The first Protestant missionaries set up mission stations for the Dakota Indians and also set up the first Protestant Church in the 1830s. It is time to get out the true Christian History of the midwest. The Pond brothers, two of the first missionaries, Were saved in a an Awakening/ Revival in the early 1800’s in Washington , Connecticut (named after George Washington. They spent their lives for the Dakota people (both lost their wives in their youth; So “whites” died serving the Natives, not the other way around…)
